Perimeter and Area Class 7 Notes: Chapter 11

The definition of area and perimeter of closed figures is explained below. Also, the area and perimeter formula of some of the common figures are given below.

• Perimeter of a closed figure: Perimeter can be defined as the length of the boundary of a a figure i.e. the total distance around the figure.
• Area of a closed figure: Area of any closed figure is defined as the space enclosed within it. In simple words, area is the part of plane that a closed figure occupies. Please refer Perimeter and Area Class 7 Notes for more revision notes.
