Nutrition in Plants Class 7 Science Notes – Chapter 1
Nutrients such as carbohydrates, minerals, proteins, vitamins, and fats are essential components of food and are necessary for the body. Living organisms require food and use the same to grow and maintain their body. Plants which synthesize their own food with the photosynthesis process are called autotrophs. When animals or any other organism consume food prepared by plants, are called heterotrophs. Plants synthesize their food with chemical substances such as minerals, carbon dioxide, and water.
