CBSE Notes for Decimals Class 6 Extra Questions

Decimal is a method of writing numbers where every digit describes the various powers of ten. It requires a dot to divide the fractional and integral parts of a number. Decimal point divides its fractional part on the right from the whole number on its left. The point acts as a separator between a unit and a component of a unit.

The decimal numeral system is the conventional method for indicating non-integer and integer numbers. The system of expressing numbers in the decimal system is termed as Decimal notation. The decimal number system depends on the preceding. As we depart from left to right, the place value gets divided by 10. Please refer Decimals Class 6 Extra Questions for more information.
