Concentration terms Solutions are the homogeneous mixtures of two or more than two components. The component that is present in large quantity is called solvent and the one present in small quantity is called solute. Solution can be classified as solid solutions, liquid solutions and gas solutions. Concentration of a solution is the amount of solute dissolved in a known amount of solution.
